3 out of 3 for the first time this year was a very pleasing result for the boys in the yellow and black as we now turn our attention to Griffith with 3 massive games of football in the context of our Season.
Our 17’s returned to the winners list with a 9 goal first half setting up a 66 point victory. With a lot of the boys involved in the Carroll Cup it’s been a long month. Riley Green backed up his last start with another 4 goals and BOG performance, He was well supported by Xav Lyons and Ben Schirmer.
Reserve Grade again went bang bang bang and put the cue in the rack, trailing at each break the boys were awoken and a 6.5 last quarter meant the boys ran away with a 31 point victory. Mitch Wadley put his hand up for senior selection with a 5 goal best on ground performance. Corey Lucas was a rock down back and led the backline like a seasoned veteran. Harry Pascoe and Sam Lucas played there usual roles.
First Grade scored a pleasing 44 point win on the back of a solid 4 quarter performance. Some Injury scares and last minute shuffling of the side didn’t disrupt the boys as they put in their best performance of the year. Rob Tuohey bagged four goals with his offsider Johnny Buch snaring 3. Some Different names in the best player’s means we are starting to hit out straps Ben Kelly, Lach Myers and Ash Bennett having their best games of the year.
Best of luck to all playing today as we look to secure another 3 wins and hit the Sturt highway back to the Blamey for Wagga’s best rissole’s and a quiet drink or two.
