Goodluck to our netballers in their finals campaign

FINALS WEEK 2

The under 17’s girls went down in a competitive game 27-29. Eliza Kelly continued her dominant finals form in the attack end while Janaya Colgan ran hard in the centre all game.

B grade pulled off a hard-fought win 39-35 to move into the next week of finals. Brooke Lawrence provided a lot of drive in the attacking end while Lucy Regan and Georgia Tilyard combined well in the defensive circle.

The A reserve tigers came away with a big finals win 50-27. Sarah Crankanthorpe and Bree Cain were dominant in defence with Maddie Kelly taking the ball down the court well for the shooters to convert.

A grade had a come from behind win 56-52. Ella Finemore was a game changer after being moved to defence causing a number of turnovers while Lana Duffy was strong and accurate in the goal circle.

FINALS WEEK 1

The 17’s pulled out their best game of the season to win their first final 27-25. Eliza Kelly was a dominant force in the attack end and was accurate in the circle while Issy Inch caused multiple turnovers.

C grade unfortunately went down 20-21 in a tightly contested game. Coach Lily Gooley lead from the front all game and was backed up by some strong defence by Courtney Byrne. Congratulations on a great season girls!

B grade played a strong game but again went down 45-51. Kate Roberts was strong right through the mid court while Sophie King was the go to girl in the shooting circle.

A reserve came away with a 23-21 win to move on to the next round of finals. Bree Cain and Sarah Crakanthorpe caused a number of turnovers with Bree Pearce converting them in the goal circle.

A grade nearly pulled off a massive comeback going down 42-44. Grace Cornell worked hard all game in defence while Liv Tilyard brought the ball down the court strongly.
