Round 12 Game Day round up v Mangoplah

FOOTBALL
A week off and a return to Robbo had the boys up and about looking to secure 3 wins to kick start the second half of the year.

The day started well with the 17’s jumping out of the blocks with a 13 to 4 scoring shot first half the boys opened up a sizeable lead as the misty rain kicked in. Once the boys adjusted to the weather they finished off the game running out 50 point winners. Jackson Casey snagged 3 goals each and were well supported by Luke Nicholas.

Reserve Grade hit the ground running and while adjusting to wet weather football took time the boys were patient and slowly took control of the game. Isaac McKenzie returned from the northern states and slotted straight into centre half back and set the game up for the lads with his booming right foot.
Ben Farrell and Sam Schirmer were instrumental with their inside ball and pushing forward to snag goals.

First grade jumped out of the blocks again with a 4 goal opening term but then unfortunately forgot we needed to kick goals to win the game. Weather conditions made for a contested game and Leeton got the better of us over the four quarters and ran away 13 point winners. Harvey Daniher had his best game of the year. Nathan Cooke continued his form from before the bye and Jake Gaynor again had another great game.

We look forward to our trip to Mango before calling into the Blamey for dinner and a quiet beer.
