Round 5 Game Day round up v Coolamon

Today we welcome Coolamon to the den for 3 crucial games of football.

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend off however special mention to all those that helped behind the bar or in the canteen. It’s this continued hard work behind the scenes that keeps the boys and girls on the paddock.

Our last round results were mixed with our 17’s going down after another promising start. Greeny, Xav Lyons and Josh Stains were our main contributors. Our second grade gave Narrandera reason to celebrate with a lazy performance seeing the boys knocked off by 5 points. Sam Lucas battled all day with not many friends. Taylor Bentley, Sam Gaynor and Nick Munro were all solid contributors in their first game of the year.

First grade welcomed back some players and a great first half set up a comfortable 90 point victory to open our account in 2017. No surprise that it was our ins that featured in the best players with Chook Mascini, Brendy Myers, Jake Gaynor and Justin Jenkins all performing strongly.

Congratulations to John Buchannon, Nick (recovery man) McCormack and Campbell Lovell on representing RFLNL last week. Our goal kicking machine Bucky was elevated to the vice captain role and after the boys unfortunate loss has been asking around to see if he will have the numbers for the captaincy next year.

Tonight we have our Frat party in the clubrooms. Be great to kick back with 3 out of 3 for the first time this year to get the ball rolling.

Up the tiges
