Round 18 Game Day Round Up v Griffith

NETBALL

It was meant to be a sunny, glorious day for our netballers to enjoy some champagne in the sun for ladies day. It was quite the opposite, cold and miserable for our last game of the round before finals. Fortunately the silver lining was a very dominant clean sweep for all our grades. This dominance began with C grade winning 40-17 and Tess Slinger playing a major role in this easy win. This was followed by B grade’s win of over forty goals with Bridget Robertson playing particularly well to help with this massive win. Reserve grade continued their winning streak to secure the minor premiership for 2016. Well done girls. It was a hard game to concentrate for a full sixty minutes but Grace Cornell and Bree Picciolo help secured the win by working hard at both ends of the court. To follow suit A grade had another easy win scoring at will and making ground easily, Griffith were simply outclassed by a more skilled team. Anna Ryan getting best on ground for the day. The games saw us conclude all our round games in a great fashion. All teams now proceed to the finals campaign, which is no easy feat and they should be congratulated on their skills, dedication and attitude. Great job.
