Football News

As we near closer to the first bounce of the season proper, the boys are gearing up strongly on the training track. Arguably one of the harder preseasons in recent memory, the players have done numerous beauty point runs and weight sessions. But the highlight of the conditioning would have to be the Bootcamp nights that have so far, had many blokes dry reaching, and praying that Smythy run a bottle of water to them quick smart. So far, the intensity of training has been really good, with a great showing of players every night.

The new season has also brought us a number of new players to the club including Michael Pryde from Kyabram, Victoria. The big Warwick "Rockdog" Brown look-a-like is in peak fitness and looking very strong, early in the season. With a few other new kids getting to training, the short and long-term future is looking very bright at Tigerland.

Without further ado, we would also like to congratulate Damien Papworth and Joshua Gaynor on their appoinment as Wagga Tigers first grade coaches. Ray Colvin has also made a return to the coaching scene at tigers to take over the reserve grade reigns. We also keenly anticipate the performance from the Under 17's as Mark Hull and John Bently take control of a very talented list.

The coming weeks will see plenty of match practice as we take on The Rock at Maher Oval on 13th March, Osbourne on 20th March and take part in the Temora 15's Competition on the 27th March. The next 3 weeks is very exciting as we get to see our hard work put into practice.

Social News

Although no official dates on the social calendar as yet, we are tipped to have a very good year off the field as well. Most importantly, we very strongly encourage all of our supporters to hang around after the game. As for players, this is compulsory.

Netball News

Watch this SPACE! We have been very successful with the girls in recent years, and as Round 1 approaches, it is evident that the girls are very keen to get into it. They have been training for many weeks now, with many sessions being taken by Steve "Monaghetti" Preist, which is sure to pay off with some early success.
